There are literally hundreds to choose from, ranging from free maps in local tourist guides and from car rental offices, to city street maps, county maps and Florida state maps. The free Florida maps may be OK for getting you to and from the airport or to the main attractions but if you plan on travelling further afield then you really need a road atlas or a more detailed Florida map. Florida Road Atlases and Vacation MapsYou will find maps to many places of interest including Orlando, Kissimmee, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Miami, Palm Beach, Ft. Myers, Key West, Pensacola, Tallahassee and St. Augustine. ![]() Interactive Florida MapsThroughout the Florida Review & Travel Guide site, you will find not only theme park and resort maps but also interactive maps highlighting points of interest. These maps can be dragged and zoomed and you can also overlay detailed satellite images. Just look for the small Florida map icon. Satellite NavigationGPS navigation is becoming increasingly popular and if you are renting a car in Florida, it is relatively cheap to hire a GPS satellite navigation system with complete Florida map coverage for less than $10 per day. All you need is your destination zip code and address and the satellite navigation system will direct you there safely and quickly. If you already have your own portable satellite navigation system or satellite navigation software such as TomTom or Garmin in a mobile phone or PDA, then you may be able to buy a set of Florida maps for your specific device. Theme Park GuidesWith the advances in mobile cell phone technology, you can now get maps and up to date queue line wait times at Walt Disney World. Over time, these sorts of application will become available for the other main theme parks such as SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Universal Studios. |
