It used to be possible to buy “Special Interest” tours in conjunction with a standard single-day ticket but nowadays they are a separate add-on.

The “Special Interest” tours allow you to see areas of the Kennedy Space Center that the general public does not normally have access to.

All general admission tickets include the new Space Shuttle Atlantis℠ attraction, IMAX® Theater 3-D Films, the Shuttle Launch Experience® ride, special viewing for rocket launches, Heroes & Legends, the Apollo/Saturn V Center, a general bus tour and other exhibits.

The Astronaut Experiences typically last half a day and most of the bus tours run for between 2.5 and 3.5 hours so remember to leave extra time when planning your visit and make sure you arrive in good time as they only operate at specific times. All tickets for Experiences and Tours have to be booked for a particular time and therefore ideally should be purchased in advance.

Note that the special tour tickets which gave you access to the inside of the Vehicle Assembly Building ended on February 23, 2014, and have not been repeated.

 

When buying Kennedy Space Center tickets you can often save money with discounted deals from travel companies..

As well as single-day tickets, they also sell day trips from Orlando and Miami including a visit to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex which is great if you do not want to drive.

For admission to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, children under 3 are admitted for free and children between the aged of 3 and 11 may purchase a child ticket.

Children aged 12 and above must purchase an adult ticket.

Launch Director Tour of Space Shuttle Atlantis (select dates only)AdultChild
An exclusive 3-hour walking tour of the Space Shuttle Atlantis with Launch Director Mike Leinbach who oversaw 37 shuttle missions. Includes a private tour of Atlantis, a ride on the Shuttle Launch Experience, a visit to the Forever Remembered memorial, a digital picture and a signed lithograph.

The Kennedy Space Center offer overnight adventure packages for students; note that all participants need to bring their own bedding for sleeping on the floor.

Camp Kennedy Space Center Ticket Prices for 2023

The Kennedy Space Center runs a series of summer camps during the summer school holidays for children aged 7 to 16.

All Kennedy Space Center summer camps include a daily lunch and snacks, a Camp KSC t-shirt, a personalised name badge and a lanyard.

Note the camps are daytime events only, no overnight stays. For an additional fee, bus transportation can be included with pickups in Viera, Satellite Beach and Orlando.
