As well as the normal admission ticket, you can also enhance your visit to Discovery Cove with one or more extra experiences.

Discovery Cove Orlando Florida is renowned for its exclusive atmosphere and the chance to swim with a dolphin. You must buy your ticket in advance, you cannot simply turn up on the day and hope to get in.

The SeaVenture diving experience is a separately ticketed attraction and can only be purchased in conjunction with a regular Discovery Cove single day package. Guests must be at least 10 years old to participate and those under 13 must be accompanied by a paying guardian. Even though this is an underwater experience you do not need to be Scuba certified, it is open to all guests.

The Trainer for the Day package prices used to include a Discovery Cove Single Day Dolphin Swim Package Ticket but today, you must purchase a dolphin swim ticket separately.

As well as the regular dolphin swim you also get to experience an enhanced deep-water interaction with dolphins including a private photo session with two dolphins, dynamic behaviours in which you are pushed through the water by two dolphins, feeding tropical fish in The Grand Reef®, special meet-and-greets with tropical birds and small mammals, a behind-the-scenes tour of Discovery Cove support areas and shadow a trainer for the day.

Guests must be at least 6 years old to participate and those under 12 must be accompanied by a paying guardian.

If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary then you can purchase a Discovery Cove Celebration Package which includes a personal message being delivered by a dolphin. More details can be found on our cabana rental and celebration package page.

There are a limited number of places available on these exclusive tours so you need to make sure you book up well in advance.

Discovery Cove now offer a number of different add-on experiences. Note that all the upgrades described here also require a separate single day admission ticket to Discovery Cove.

All of the experiences have age restrictions in terms of minimum age limits. Also children that are above the minimum age may still require a paying guardian to accompany them.

Note that you will probably need to arrive at Discovery Cove quite early in the morning if you have booked multiple experiences as they only operate at certain times of the day and need to be scheduled on arrival. Discovery Cove recommend arriving by 7:30 a.m. if you have booked three or more upgrades, otherwise make sure you check-in by 10:00 a.m.

Some experiences conflict time-wise with others so it is not always possible to book all the experiences you might want on the same day, details are in the pricing section below.

It is recommended that you book up well in advance if you plan to visit Discovery Cove around main holiday times like Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Discovery Cove Orlando Experiences Special Offers, Deals and Discounts

Sometimes Discovery Cove Orlando run special offer deals like discounting the admission price or offering complimentary upgrades. The free Premium Drink Package offer often runs for a short time as does complimentary gift cards.

Florida residents usually enjoy a year round 20% discount on admission tickets, with or without the dolphin swim.

Right now there are no special deals on experience upgrades.

Discovery Cove Other Experiences Ticket Prices for 2024

There is no separate pricing for adults and children as such but children under certain ages cannot participate in some experiences.

These prices are the standard ticket prices you would expect to pay at the gate (unless stated otherwise). Prices do not include local taxes and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Discovery Cove SeaVenture Dive Experience Ticket	Guest
Experience the reef with a 20 minute underwater walking tour as part of a 45 minute experience. You do not need Scuba certification. Minimum age is 10 years old. Children aged 10 to 13 must be accompanied by another participating person aged 14 or older. Limited to groups of up to 9 guests.	from $49.00 plus tax

All experiences must be purchased in conjunction with a regular Discovery Cove Day Resort Package.

Discovery Cove Shark Swim Experience Ticket	Guest
Join Discover Cove trainers in a shallow water tank and swim alongside several species of shark including blacktip reef, nurse, zebra and bonnethead. Wetsuits, snorkel and mask is provided. Minimum age is 10 years old. Children aged 10 to 13 must be accompanied by another participating person aged 14 or older. Limited to groups of up to 5 guests and only 8 sessions per day.	from $169.00 plus tax

It is not possible to book both the Shark Swim and Animal Trek as they take place at the same time.

Discovery Cove Ray Feeding Experience Ticket	Guest
Feed stingrays and thousands of tropical fish and enjoy a guided swim of the Grand Reef. Available from Thursday to Monday each week between around 7:00 and 8:45 a.m. In-water experience lasts 30 to 45 minutes, whole experience at least 1 hour 45 minutes. Minimum age is 6 years old. Children aged 6 to 12 must be accompanied by another participating adult. Maximum of 20 participants per day.	from $59.00 plus tax

Discovery Cove Animal Trek Experience Ticket	Guest
Meet some of Discovery Cove’s Animal Ambassadors during a 30 minute tour and touch and feed a range of small mammals and birds. Tours start between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m. daily. Minimum age is 6 years old. Children aged 6 to 12 must be accompanied by another participating adult. Maximum of 24 participants per day.	from $79.00 plus tax

It is not possible to book both the Animal Trek and Shark Swim as they take place at the same time.

Discovery Cove Flamingo Mingle Experience Ticket	Guest
Mingle with and feed Caribbean flamingoes early in the morning on select days. The mingle experience lasts about 30 minutes but allow an hour for the whole experience. Wetsuits are provided. Minimum age is 6 years old. Children aged 6 to 12 must be accompanied by another participating adult. Limited to groups of up to 8 guests.	from $59.00 plus tax
