Formerly known as Xtreme, this land is now called LEGO Technic.

As the name of the land used to suggest, this is the closest you’ll get to white knuckle rides at LEGOLAND Florida, in fact the rides are described as “pink knuckle” with a variety of rides and attractions to test the older kids.

The Great LEGO Race

Originally known as the LEGO TECHNIC Test Track and then Project X, on March 23, 2018 it became “The Great LEGO Race“ VR Coaster where riders are now given the option of wearing virtual reality headsets and take part in a five car race with popular LEGO minifigures including a pirate, wizard, surfer and an Egyptian pharaoh.

On The Great LEGO Race ride, you experience acceleration and braking as you ride in life-sized four seater (2+2) LEGO Technic racers along a full-sized roller coaster track. The track takes you up to 51 feet (15.5 metres) off the ground through a series of switchbacks and bends. It is known as a Wild Mouse style ride because of the small cars, flat turns and high lateral g-forces.

The Great LEGO Race was built by Mack Rides, the length of the track is 1312 feet (400 metres) and the ride runs for 1:35 minutes at speeds of up to 35 mph (56 kph). There are no inversions.

Minimum rider height is 42 inches (1.07 m) and guests less than 48 inches (1.22 m) tall must be accompanied by a responsible rider aged 14 years or older. Guests must be at least 6 years old and 48 inches tall to wear a VR headset.

Note that the responsible person cannot wear a VR headset if accompanied by anyone under 48 inches tall.

Now the ride has been converted into The Great LEGO Race, riders aged 6 and over have the option of wearing a virtual reality headset. This gives riders a 360 degree view of a Lego brick land synchronised to the movements of the roller coaster.

Aquazone Wave Racer (Jet Skis)

Prepare to get wet when you ride the Aquazone Wave Racer. Try to dodge the Spectator stations as they attempt to blast you with water as you power ski around the course on LEGO inspired jet ski racers. The Aquazone is another carousel style ride seating two people per jet ski.

Minimum rider height is 40 inches (1.02 m) and guests less than 52 inches (1.32 m) must be accompanied by a responsible rider, aged 14 years or older.

Technicycle

With the Technicycle ride, the faster you pedal, the higher you climb.

Minimum rider height is 36 inches (0.91 m) and guests less than 48 inches (1.22 m) must be accompanied by a responsible rider, aged 14 or older.

Technic Tot Spot

The Technic Tot Spot is a shaded outdoor play area for kids.
