On August 14th, Disney’s Hollywood Studios are hosting an after hours party, the “Last Tour to Endor” party held as part of the Star Wars Celebration V event taking place in Orlando from August 12 to 15, 2010.

The party features live entertainment, a Death Star Disco “Hyperspace Hoopla”,  themed party zones, Jedi Training Academy, Star Wars trivia challenges and a special 12 minute Star Wars-themed fireworks show entitled Symphony in the Stars with a musical soundtrack composed by John Williams.

Darth Vader will don a sequinned glove to perform his moonwalk and several Disney characters are scheduled to appear including Mickey Mouse as Jedi Mickey, Donald Duck as an Imperial stormtrooper and Minnie Mouse as Princess Leia.

You can be one of the last to ride the existing Star Tours ride as it is being closed down to be re-imagineered with a new 3-D Star Wars storyline. The ride will officially close in October and re-open in 2011.

Other rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will remain open including The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, “The American Idol Experience,” Toy Story Mania and the Great Movie Ride.

A special performance at the Epic Stunt Spectacular Stage entitled “Raider of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom: A Fan Film of Epic Proportions” will combine storylines from both Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

The party runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the morning but “Last Tour to Endor” ticket holders can get in to the park from 4 pm. Tickets cost $75 (plus tax) in advance or $89 on the gate if still available.

Unlike many other special events that take place at Walt Disney World where costumes are banned, guests are encouraged to dress up in Star Wars costumes for the Last Tour to Endor party.
