The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offer a range of experiences and “Special Interest” tours as well as overnight stays, summer camps, single day tickets and annual passes. Note that the “Experiences” and “Special Interest” tours can be purchased in conjunction with a standard single day ticket; i.e. you cannot purchase a tour ticket without having a general admission ticket.
The “Special Interest” tours allow you to see areas of the Kennedy Space Center that the general public do not normally have access to.
All general admission tickets include the new Space Shuttle Atlantis℠ attraction, IMAX® Theater 3-D Films, the Shuttle Launch Experience® ride, special viewing for rocket launches, Heroes & Legends, the Apollo/Saturn V Center, a general bus tour and other exhibits.
Due to COVID-19 social distancing protocols all bus tours are currently suspended
The Astronaut Experiences typically last half a day and most of the bus tours run for between 2.5 and 3.5 hours so remember to leave extra time when planning your visit and make sure you arrive in good time as they only operate as specific times. All tickets for Experiences and Tours have to be booked for a particular time and therefore ideally should be purchased in advance.
Note that the special tour tickets which gave you access to the inside of the Vehicle Assembly Building ended on February 23, 2014 and have not been repeated.
