Florida State Symbols
Like all US States, Florida has its fair share of State symbols, everything from its own flag and song to orange juice, the alligator and the manatee.
Florida has had a varied history over the last 500 years or more with five different countries laying claim to the territory over this time period. The flags of Spain, France, Great Britain, the United States and the Confederacy have all flown over Florida at one time or another.
