Discovery Cove Orlando Florida is different to all the other Florida theme parks in that each day, admission is strictly limited to around 1,300 guests.
Admission includes breakfast, lunch and unlimited snacks and beverages plus complimentary use of snorkels, swim vests, wetsuits, towels, lockers, showers, sunscreen and changing rooms.
Complimentary self-parking is available.
You can choose between two main packages with or without the dolphin swim. Children must be at least 6 years old to participate in the dolphin swim and those under 13 must be accompanied by a paying guardian.
You can also add on a number of experiences including the SeaVenture diving experience or a Trainer for a Day package. Plenty of complimentary loungers are available on the beaches but you can upgrade to a private cabana.
Note that everyone aged 18 or older must bring a photo ID with them; e.g. a driver’s licence or passport.
When Discovery Cove first opened it included a 14 consecutive-day complimentary pass to both SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando that could be used either before or after the visit to Discovery Cove and could be upgraded to include Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.
Today the basic Discovery Cove admission ticket is just for Discovery Cove but you can buy multi-park tickets that include 14-day unlimited admissions to SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando or both Orlando parks and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay as well. The 14 consecutive day admission to the other parks can be taken before or after the visit to Discovery Cove.
The 14 days start when you visit the first park (including Discovery Cove). If you buy the “ultimate” three-park dolphin swim ticket including Busch Gardens, you also get free general parking at all three parks.
You should book up well in advance if you plan to visit Discovery Cove around main holiday times like Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Discovery Cove Orlando often runs special offer deals like discounting the admission price or offering complimentary upgrades. The free Premium Drink Package offer is often run for a limited time, as is the complimentary gift card offer.
Florida residents get a 20% discount off standard rates, year-round.

Discovery Cove Orlando Reservations
You must buy your ticket in advance for a specific date, you cannot simply turn up on the day and hope to get in.
Discovery Cove Orlando Dining
All tickets to Discovery Cove include freshly prepared food with unlimited snacks, non-alcoholic drinks and for anyone aged 21 or over, a selection of beers and wines. You can also upgrade to a premium drinks package.
Breakfast is served at the Laguna Grill between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and lunch between 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Also included in the admission price is the use of a wet suit or swim vest, souvenir snorkel gear and flotation devices. Lockers and towels are available as well as changing facilities, private indoor showers and public outdoor showers.
Specially formulated sunscreen which is kind to the animals is provided at all the locker areas.
If you don’t want to carry cash or your own payment cards around with you, you can get a personalised Discovery Code ID card that allows you to make charges to your own card whilst in the park.
Discovery Cove Photo Packages
Whilst you are free to take your own photos during your visit to Discovery Cove you cannot take your cameras into the water when taking part in experiences like the dolphin swim, shark swim or SeaVenture dive. Other guests are free to take photos from the beach areas.
However Discovery Cove photographers are present to capture the moment and you can purchase one of several Discovery Cove Photo Packages, some of which include all digital photos taken during your stay.

Discovery Cove Ticket Prices for 2024
Discovery Cove has simplified its ticket offerings with a seasonal pricing structure but it is worth checking alternative dates as you can often get the same deal for less money on another date.
There is no separate pricing for adults and children, but children under the age of 6 cannot participate in the dolphin swim. Children aged 6 to 12 can swim with a dolphin but only if accompanied by an adult who has also purchased the swim package.
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a signed waiver by a parent or natural guardian to participate in the dolphin swim or SeaVenture activity.
Children under the age of 3 are admitted for free but still need to make a reservation.
At first glance, the prices seem high but bear in mind the price includes all food and drink for the day and there are special deals on admission to SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. If you plan on visiting these other parks, then the Discovery Cove tickets can make sense, especially if you buy the swim package with three parks as you get free parking as well.
These prices are the standard ticket prices you would expect to pay at the gate (unless stated otherwise). Prices do not include local taxes and tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
