Universal Studios Orlando is a lot of fun and with the introduction of the Harry Potter area, the popularity has significantly increased. Not only do they have two great theme parks but they also have a fantastic Water Park in Volcano Bay.
Within the confines of Universal is the Universal CityWalk, which offers a great set of entertainment that is free to access before you enter any of the parks. Keep a watch out for Universal’s latest Theme Park, Universal Epic Universe, which will feature a Nintendo World area.

Universal Studios tickets are seasonally prices, so you would expect to pay more in the big holidays (e.g. Christmas) and lower at the quieter times of the year (e.g. Jan / Feb). We’ll help you find the right time to go for the best price for you.
If you are planning on spending several days at the Universal Studios parks, including Volcano Bay and the two theme parks, it might make sense to stay close to the park so you can either walk or take a short journey in a vehicle to the parks.
Like Disney, Universal Studios Resort has a varied range of hotels, from the reasonably priced hotels through to the luxury hotels. Disney probably has a slightly wider choice of hotels and it’s also a great place to stay if you are visiting both parks. We’ve shared the best hotels for both parks below.
Universal Studios has a lot of great attractions, including the Universal CityWalk which has a similar offering to Disney Springs with the shops and restaurants. Universal is also renowned for it’s Halloween scare nights so if you’re around for September and October, make sure you check the parks out for a scare.
