Epcot Candlelight Processional 2022

The Candlelight Processional is part of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays and takes place in 2022 from November 25 every day until after Christmas on December 30.

Each evening at the America Gardens Theatre, there is a musical performance by a mass choir, the Voices of Liberty cappella group and a 50-piece orchestra retelling the Christmas story with the help of a special celebrity guest narrator.

The choir is a mixture of Disney cast members and other choirs including high school children.

The performance runs three times a night at the American Gardens Theatre at 5:15 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Candlelight Processional Narrators

Celebrity narrators scheduled for 2022 are:

November 25 to 26 November 2022 – Simu Liu
November 27 to 29 November 2022 – Chita Rivera (replaces Edward James Olmos)
November 30 to 1 December 2022 – Raul Esparza
December 2 to 3 December 2022 – Whoopi Goldberg
December 4 to 6 December 2022 – Isabella Rossellini
December 7 to 9 December 2022 – Daymond John
December 10 to 12 December 2022 – Josh Gad
December 13 to 14 December 2022 – Gloria Estafan
December 15 to 18 December 2022 – Neil Patrick Harris
December 19 to 20 December 2022 – Mariska Hargitay
December 21 to 23 December 2022 – Cal Ripken Jr.
December 24 to 26 December 2022 – Marie Osmond
December 27 to 28 December 2022 – Courtney Vance
December 29 to 30 December 2022 – Angela Bassett

Note that guest narrators are subject to change and some of the more popular narrators draw very large audiences. Some appear virtually every year like Edward James Olmos and Neil Patrick Harris but most years there are a couple of new faces.

This year the new narrators are:

Simu Liu — actor, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Daymond John — Shark Tank investor
Mariska Hargitay — actress, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Raul Esparza — actor, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Gloria Estafan — singer and actress
Josh Gad — actor, Frozen and Beauty and the Beast

Celebrations also take place at most of the pavilions in the World Showcase with Holiday Storytellers including Old Saint Nick in the American Adventure showcase, Pierre Noel in France and La Befana in Italy.

Candlelight Processional Dining Packages

There is no charge for seating at the Candlelight Processional but it is on a first-come-first-served basis. If you want a guaranteed seat then you can purchase a Candlelight Processional Dining Package which includes either breakfast, lunch or dinner plus guaranteed seating for one of the Candlelight Processional performances on the same day.

The meal can be taken either before or after the performance, depending upon timing.

Past Years at the Epcot Candlelight Processional

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Walt Disney World did not host the Candlelight Processional at all in 2020 and in 2021 it only had Disney employees in the choir so expect 2022 to be busier than usual.
