Disney has added yet another dessert party to their offerings, this time at the Magic Kingdom. This one is themed on Princess Tiana from the 2009 animated film “The Princess and the Frog” set in New Orleans.

Tiana’s Riverboat Party takes place daily on the Liberty Square Riverboat attraction at Liberty Square in Frontierland and offers guests a unique viewing location for the afternoon Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, which starts at 3:00 p.m. each day. Check-in is 45 minutes before the parade starts.

First sailing was on November 29, 2016.

The party starts on the dockside where you are welcomed by your hosts. There are a number of different desserts and snacks on offer including ice cream novelties, hand-dipped ice cream, sweet treats and drinks.

After the party you board the Liberty Belle paddle steamer which then takes you on a scenic 1/2 mile ride round Tom Sawyer Island on the Rivers of America. Journey time is around 17 minutes during which you get to see unique views of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain and The Haunted Mansion as well as a number of scenes including settlers cabins, Fort Langhorn, a Native American village, mining camp and animatronic woodland animals.

There is an opportunity to meet and greet with both Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen during the trip.

The cost of the dessert party is $49 for adults and $29 for children (aged 3 to 9). Reservations are required and both wheelchairs and ECVs can be accommodated.
