From just before Thanksgiving, from November 17 until December 31 in 2018, SeaWorld Orlando is specially decorated for the holiday season as part of SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebrations.
In 2018, SeaWorld celebrate the SeaWorld Christmas Celebration on select dates when the park stays open until at least 9 p.m./10 p.m. and 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve.
New from 2016 is ”Meet Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” where you will get the opportunity to meet Rudolph and his friends Clarice, Bumble and Yukon Cornelius from the TV special, ”Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”.
The evening Shamu show is transformed into “Shamu’s Christmas: Miracles”, where singers and musicians combine with the killer whales and trainers.
Clyde and Seamore traditionally present “Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas” and from 2016 the mimes are back as part of the pre-show.
An all new ”Elmo’s Christmas Wish” musical show at the Seaport Theater has characters from Sesame Street including Rosita, Grover, Zoe and Cookie Monster working together to help Elmo find his Christmas wish.
”O Wondrous Night” features carollers, live sized puppets and live animals in an amazing nativity show.
SeaWorld Orlando Christmas Dates for 2018
Another new show (introduced in 2009) is ”Winter Wonderland on Ice” at the Bayside Stadium where ice skaters perform in front of water fountains and fireworks.
Nearby is the ”Christmas Market” where you will find both craft gifts, snacks, drinks, a fire pit, musicians and a model train village.
New for SeaWorld Christmas in Orlando from 2017 is ”Santa’s Workshop presented by Coca-Cola”, where your children can get the chance to meet Santa in his workshop at Wild Arctic.
At the Waterfront, you might catch some snow flurries and the lagoon is decorated with over 100 coloured light Christmas trees in SeaWorld’s ”Sea of Trees”.
You can also sample a Christmas breakfast with some of the Sesame Street characters at ”Elmo and Friends Christmas Breakfast”.
”Santa’s Fireside Feast” gives you the chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus while enjoying an all-you-care-to-eat dinner.
Admission to the SeaWorld Orlando Christmas celebrations in 2018 is included in the standard park ticket.
Starting in 2007 each Holiday season, the Wild Arctic helicopter simulator ride was transformed into ”The Polar Express Experience at SeaWorld” based on the Warner Bros. Pictures film starring the character voiced by actor Tom Hanks. Riders boarded the ‘train’ to take them to the North Pole which was specially decorated with a Christmas tree, sleigh and Santa Claus himself.
The new ride used to run from mid November until early January and then after that it reverted back to the normal Wild Arctic theme but the Polar Express ended in 2016 when Rudolph was introduced.
