The Universal Orlando Resort operates three theme parks in Orlando; Universal Studios, the roller-coaster park Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay water park which replaces Wet n’ Wild. There is also the music and entertainment venue, Universal CityWalk®. Universal Studios Orlando tickets are available from one to five-day tickets for either one, two or three parks. If you wish to visit more than one park in a day then you need to choose the “park-to-park” option.
Head over to our tickets site to save money on advance tickets to the Universal Studios Parks. We have some of the best discounts available today. Beat the gate prices and reduce your holiday costs.
Like Walt Disney World, Universal operates seasonal pricing. If you are a Florida resident, you can often get discounts and special privileges with a Florida resident’s ticket or you can buy an annual pass.
To make it easier to budget your food bills, there is an “all day” meal deal as well as a character meal ticket option.
Universal also offers a number of “VIP” tours for those who want something a little special with a more personal touch and priority access to the main attractions and shows.
If you don’t like the idea of waiting to get onto some of the more popular rides then like Disney, Universal also has a “front-of-line” pass called Universal Express.
The “base ticket” gives you access to one park per day whilst the “park-to-park” option allows you to hop between the two parks on any given day, like Disney’s “hopper” add-on.
Universal Studios Orlando Ticket Options
Choosing the right Universal Orlando ticket is essential to make sure you get the right theme park experience for your visit. Each ticket type offers a different level of access and flexibility suited to a range of preferences and budgets. Unless you go on a very quiet day, it’s unlikely you can squeeze all the rides for both parks in one day due to ride queing times.
Single Park Tickets To Universal Studios
Single Park Admission tickets grant access to one of Universal Orlando’s three main parks: Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, or Universal’s Volcano Bay water park. This ticket is a good choice for visitors who plan to explore a single park per day and really make a full day of each park. If you think you can visit 2 parks in one day, it might be worth purchasing the Park to Park ticket. Bare in mind that some rides have queues of around an hour which can easily fill up a half day ‘quick park visit’.
- Single Day Single Park Ticket to either Universal Studios Florida or Universal’s Islands of Adventure
- Two, Three, Four or Five Day Ticket to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay (One Park per Day)
- Single Day Ticket to Universal’s Volcano Bay
Park To Park Tickets To Universal Studios
With these tickets, guests can move between Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure on the same day. This option is ideal for those wanting to enjoy the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which spans both parks and to make the most of their (long) day.
- Single Day Two Park Ticket to both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure
- a Two, Three, Four or Five Day Ticket to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay (Park to Park)
Addons

- a One Day Universal’s Volcano Bay My Universal Photos Package
If you buy at least a two day ticket, then you also get up to 14 consecutive calendar days of access to the paid venues at Universal CityWalk (excluding the AMC Universal Cineplex 20).
Like most of the Florida theme parks, anyone aged 10 or over on the day of their first entry to the theme parks is classed as an adult and will have to buy an adult ticket.
Children between the ages of 3 and 9 are classed as children and may purchase a child ticket.
Children under the age of 3 are admitted for free.
