January 10, 2015 – SpaceX Falcon 9, CRS 5
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched the seventh Dragon spacecraft. The purpose of the mission was to take the fifth resupply cargo load to the International Space Station.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–40.
For the first time ever, an attempt was made to land the first stage on an ocean-going barge sited in the Atlantic Ocean, about 200 miles northeast of Cape Canaveral. The Merlin 1D engines successfully reignited three times to slow it down but it lost directional stability shortly before touchdown and was destroyed.
Delayed from September 12, 2014. Moved up from November 27 and then delayed from October 3, December 1 and 19, January 6 and 9, 2015.
January 20, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 Rocket, MUOS 3
The Atlas 5 rocket launched the third Mobile User Objective Satellite (MUOS) for the U.S. Navy.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–41 with a launch window from 7:43 to 8:27 pm.
February 11, 2015 – SpaceX Falcon 9, DSCOVR
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) for the U.S Air Force, NOAA and NASA.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–40.
Delayed from January 13, 23, 29 and 31, 2015.
March 1, 2015 – SpaceX Falcon 9, Eutelsat 115 West B & ABS 3A
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched the Eutelsat 115 West B and ABS 3A communications satellites for the French Eutelsat company.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–40.
Delayed from February 17.
March 12, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 Rocket, MMS
The Atlas 5 rocket launched NASA’s Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) mission. The Magnetospheric Multiscale mission uses four identical spacecraft.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–41 with a launch window from 10:44 to 11:14 pm.
Delayed from November 26, 2014.
March 25, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Delta 4 Rocket, GPS 2F–9
The Delta 4 rocket will launch the ninth block 2F Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) satellite for the U.S. Air Force.
Launch is from launch pad SLC–37B.
April 10, 2015 – SpaceX Falcon 9, CRS 6
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the eighth Dragon spacecraft. The purpose of the mission is to take the sixth resupply cargo load to the International Space Station.
Launch is from launch pad SLC–40 with a launch window of 5:42 pm.
SpaceX will attempt to land the first stage rocket back on a barge moored off the Florida coastline.
Delayed from December 5, 2014, February 5 and April 8, 2015.
Late April, 2015 – SpaceX Falcon 9, TurkmenAlem52E/MonacoSat
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the TurkmenAlem52E/MonacoSat 1 communications satellite for Thales Alenia Space and the government of Turkmenistan.
Launch is from launch pad SLC–40 with a launch window from 4:04 to 5:04 pm.
Delayed from March 21.
May 6, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 Rocket, AFSPC 6
The Atlas 5 rocket will launch the AFSPC 6 mission for the U.S. Air Force.
Launch is from launch pad SLC–41 with a launch window from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
June 28, 2015 – SpaceX Falcon 9, CRS 7
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched the ninth Dragon spacecraft. The purpose of the mission was to take the seventh resupply cargo load to the International Space Station but the rocket exploded several minutes into the flight.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–40.
Delayed from June 13, 19 and 26.
July 15, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 Rocket, GPS 2F–10
The United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket launched the tenth block 2F Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) satellite for the U.S. Air Force.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–41.
Delayed from June 16, 30 and July 14.
July 24, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Delta 4 Rocket, WGS 7
The Delta 4 rocket launcedh the seventh Wideband Global SATCOM spacecraft (Wideband Gapfiller Satellite) for the U.S. military.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–37B at 8:07 p.m.
Delayed from July 21 and 22.
September 2, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 Rocket, MUOS 4
The Atlas 5 rocket launched the fourth Mobile User Objective Satellite (MUOS) for the U.S. Navy.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–41.
Delayed from August 13, 20, 27 and 31.
October 2, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 Rocket, Morelos 3
The Atlas 5 rocket launched the Morelos 3 (Mexsat 2) for the Mexican Ministry of Communications and Transportation.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–41.
Moved up from October 22.
October 30, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 Rocket, GPS 2F–11
The Atlas 5 rocket launched the eleventh block 2F Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) satellite for the U.S. Air Force.
Launch window was from 12:17 to 12:35 p.m. on launch pad SLC–41.
Delayed from September 16 and 22.
December 6, 2015 – United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 Rocket, OA–4
The Atlas 5 rocket launched the fifth Orbital Sciences Cygnus cargo mission. The purpose of the mission is to take the fourth resupply cargo load to the International Space Station.
Launch was at 4:44 p.m. from launch pad SLC–41.
Delayed from November 19 and December 3.
December 22, 2015 – SpaceX Falcon 9, Orbcomm OG2
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched eleven second-generation Orbcomm communications satellites.
Launch was from launch pad SLC–40 and the first stage made a successful return to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
Delayed from December 2014, early 2015 and August.
