The LEGO NINJAGO® World land was added as a new land in January 2017.

It is themed on the Japanese and Chinese Ninja heroes, based on the LEGO NINJAGO® range of models encompassing role play and creative building.

The LEGO NINJAGO® range first launched in 2011 and is supported by an animated TV series, NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitsu and a movie.

LEGO NINJAGO® World is a compact land with one main attraction and a few smaller attractions named after various NINJAGO® heroes, located between Land of Adventure and LEGO City.

The land is lushly landscaped with large LEGO models of some of the LEGO NINJAGO® heroes including Master Wu, Cole, Jay, Kai, Lloyd, Nya and Zane.

LEGO NINJAGO® The Ride

LEGO NINJAGO® The Ride is a 3D interactive dark ride with a difference combining 3D computer animation and “4D” effects like fog, lights and heat.

Your goal is to destroy a gallery of villains including ghosts and skeletons using arm and hand movements to throw virtual orbs and lightning instead of firing some sort of point-and-click gun. In the final scene you come face to face with a large serpent called The Great Devourer.

You ride in a pair of four abreast vehicles and you can compete with your fellow riders to get the highest score. Each rider has a different coloured orb to make it easier to work out how well you are doing.

The ride vehicles move around inside the attraction on a track and spin to face various screens, a bit like Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Total ride time is around four minutes.

In the air-conditioned indoor queue, Master Wu teaches the guests five different martial art style hand gestures they can use on the ride. There are also brick building areas for the younger kids.

There are no rider height restrictions as such but children under the age of 6 or under 48 inches (1.22 m) must ride with a responsible person who is 14 years or older and taller than 48 inches.
